WOODBURNING

Stories Etched in Fire

The Art of Woodburning

Woodburning, also known as pyrography, is the delicate process of drawing with heat. Using a specialized tool with heated tips, each line is carefully burned into the surface of the wood, much like sketching with a pen. The pressure, temperature, and stroke control the depth and shading, allowing the artist to create everything from fine, detailed lines to soft gradients and bold contrasts. Layer by layer, the image comes to life with rich textures and natural warmth that only wood and fire can create.
